My name’s Kayla and I don’t really consider myself a travel blogger. I do travel a fair bit and live a rather nomadic lifestyle but rather than write about all the places I’ve been I have decided to concentrate all my efforts into writing and gathering as much information as possible about one specific location: Mexico’s Copper Canyon.

I visited Copper Canyon for the first time in October 2016 and was stunned. The views both on and off El Chepe (that famous train) are just incredible! Although I had the very helpful assistance of my partner, who happens to be Mexican, I still found the planning a little confusing. There just wasn’t much information about Copper Canyon or more specifically about El Chepe online. And thus VisitCopperCanyon.com was born. Or at least the idea was born. The site is still a work in progress and I will be adding new articles regularly.

My partner, Alejandro, is a travel blogger (Mi Viaje por el Mundo) and the two of us recently (February 2018) took another trip on El Chepe to gather more information. He has now been through Copper Canyon 3 times, and I twice. We’ve spoken to travel agents, tour guides, hotel owners, bus drivers and many people in between in order to gather the most accurate and up to date information possible.

My goal is to provide the most comprehensive site available about Mexico’s Copper Canyon. I welcome any questions, comments or suggestions that might help me improve the site and make it easier for those planning a trip through the Copper Canyon. Feel free to leave a comment on any of the pages and I’ll respond as soon as I can.

I would like to note that the site does contain affiliate links. Making a booking or purchase through one of these links does not affect prices but I’ll make a small commission. Income from these links helps me continue to grow the site and keep it up to date. If you find the site helpful, consider booking your hotels using the links on the site. It’s much appreciated!
